Use sturdy boxes that are uniform in size. The heavy boxes should be placed on the bottom.
Pallets should be used for storing on concrete.
If possible, furniture should be dissembled. (tape legs and other odd pieces together).
Use the inside of large appliances to pack smaller items.
Plastic wrap should be avoided. It may cause moisture to build up within your container.
Wrap china and all fragile objects in paper individually. Plates and dishes should be placed in vertical positions with pads of paper in between. Cups and saucers should be placed toward the top of the box.
Mirrors, glass tops to furniture or large pictures should be crated separately.
